World Rugby and USA Rugby have today confirmed that Belgium will replace the Netherlands as the USA Men’s Eagles opponent during the upcoming USA Rugby Match Series 2025 fixture, set to take place on Saturday, July 5, at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, NC.
Belgium steps in as a key competitor, also in pursuit of qualification for Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027. The Black Devils remain in contention after finishing a fifth-place finish in the Men’s Rugby Europe Championship 2025, which has secured them a spot in the RWC 2027 Final Qualification Tournament due to take place in November.
"We appreciate Belgium’s commitment to stepping into this high-profile match and look forward to a competitive and exciting contest in Charlotte," said USA Rugby CEO Bill Goren. "With both teams eager for Rugby World Cup qualification, this fixture will be a great test for our Men’s squad as we continue our journey toward 2027."
The match is part of the broader USA Rugby Match Series 2025, providing crucial international competition for the Men’s Eagles and their opponents ahead of major global tournaments. Tickets for USA vs Belgium will be streamed live on RugbyPass TV in the United States with tickets available to the public on Friday, March 28th at usa.rugby/tickets
