VANCOUVER, B.C. - Boys High School All-American 15s Director Brendan Keane has named his full squad for the North American Summer Series taking place July 7-14 at Brentwood College.

During the Summer Series, the All-Americans and Canada U18s will play three matches on July 7, 10 and 14 with the first two serving as development games where every athlete will see playing time. The final matchup will be a full international and streamed LIVE on Rugby Canada’s Facebook Page.

Athletes for the North American Summer Series were primarily selected from last year’s Winter Camp and Regional Cup Tournaments (2018).

“We have a great group of young men to take on the challenge of playing Canada’s U18s,” said Director and Head Coach Keane. “Our staff are excited to have a mix of players who already have experience at this level as well as some new young talent.”

“Representing the United States is always a special honor. In the short term we will all enjoy the experience of spending two weeks on beautiful Vancouver Island, but ultimately this is about the challenge of building the team, improving as individuals and delivering three positive match performances.

“We know the playing group will do all they can to protect the shield in all three matches. Longer-term, this is about developing these players and preparing them for the next level of rugby and their lives. We hope the experiences they have in the build up and during the trip accomplish just that”.

Players and coaches will continue preparations over the next several weeks before the full group assembles on July 1.

The Boys High School All-American 7s will also assemble next month for a U18 Can-Am Summer Series July 11-13 in Ontario. A schedule is available at usarugby.org/bhsaa with roster and additional details to follow in the coming weeks.
