Cassidy Bargell has been called into the USA Women's Eagles Sevens squad in line to make her sevens debut at this weekend’s HSBC SVNS World Series in Perth.

An England Rugby World Cup 2027 standout with the USA Women’s Eagles XV team, her inclusion comes as a replacement for Spiff Sedrick, who was unfortunately ruled out to rehab an injury from last week in Singapore.

Having linked up with the USA Sevens program as part of the collaborative synergy between the two codes, the scrum half is well versed in the team's set play and energy on the pitch.

Bargell recently participated in the Women’s XV alignment camp in Chula Vista CA, before getting the call up to join the Sevens Eagles in Australia.

The USA Women will open Pool A alongside Fiji, Japan and New Zealand where the Eagles will look to build on their momentum from last weekend’s 4th place finish.
