July marks the first competition assembly for the USA Men’s Eagles with a crucial three-match tour scheduled on home turf. Head Coach Scott Lawrence and staff have selected 32 names to the July series player pool with eyes on further performance progress from the last assembly, an undefeated stretch in November.

Players continue to earn USA camp selection following impactful club seasons and meaningful on-field minutes closely monitored by the USA Eagles coaching group. As Project Gemini enters its second year on the Moonshot 2031 chart, the July series serves as a key preparation for Gemini’s first major goal of Rugby World Cup qualification this year. The mid-summer series includes fixtures against Belgium (July 5), Spain July 12) and England (July 19), all of which will be streaming live on Paramount + in the United States.

Head Coach and General Manager, Scott Lawrence said on the selections, “There was tremendous engagement from players, coaches, and GM’s particularly in Major League Rugby, but also in the Premiership and Pro D2 to support the process of selecting this year’s squad. We saw competition for places and a number of very good players, while they remain firmly in the picture, ultimately fell outside of the 32.

Looking ahead to the tour and qualification later this year, Lawrence added, "We remain committed to building the best and most committed squad leading into the Pacific Nations Cup, where the July test series is a period of both squad cohesion and discovery for some new players in the mix.”

The 2025 July Series roster was excitingly revealed live in collaboration with The Rugby Rundown, where Lawrence joined hosts Will Hooley and Alex Corbisiero to discuss the playing group and upcoming tour.

Three well-anticipated fixtures fill out the July series, with a first-ever matchup against up-and-coming Belgium followed by a rematch against Spain in Charlotte. The USA are 2-0 against Spain in the last two years, now hosting them on home soil for 2025. The touring squad will next head north to the nation’s capital for a marquee clash with England at Audi Field. This is the first paring with England since 2021 and first time in the United States since playing against England A in the 2011 Churchill Cup. An exciting mix of new and veteran players again fills out the squad, notably Winger Nate Augspurger who eyes his 50th international test match selection this tour.
