2024 is staged to be an electric year for the USA Women’s Eagles as their official chase for Rugby World Cup 2025 begins in Los Angeles with a marquee matchup against Canada at Dignity Health Sports Park on April 28. The full Pacific Four Series will be live streamed on Peacock and RugbyPassTV.

The newly dated match will be the first return to home soil for the USA since last clashing with Canada during the 2021 Pacific Four Series in Colorado. Set in the 27,000-seat stadium that also plays host to the LA Galaxy and HSBC SVNS Series, Dignity Health Sports Park elevates the experience for Women’s Eagles fans as part of USA Rugby’s ambitions to grow the fan experience ahead of Rugby World Cup 2033. The large capacity stadium with full hospitality and amenities allows for every Southern California sports fan to rally behind the USA and push for a record attendance in April.

Pre-sale tickets to the USA Rugby Membership and select groups will be delivered on Tuesday, February 27th at 2pm PT while tickets will open to the general public on Thursday, February 29th at 10am PT. Tickets will be available at usa.rugby/tickets.

USA Rugby General Manager of Commercial and Events, Brandy Medran said on the major event, “We have been ramping up to this event for some time now, with the high anticipation of the Women’s Eagles returning to competition in the USA and the sensational momentum women’s rugby has seen since Rugby World Cup 2021. Attendance records have been shattered across both hemispheres, including a stellar Pacific Four Series in Ottawa last year. There is an opportunity to make history, and we couldn’t be more excited to join that momentum with this rivalry fixture in Los Angeles.”

USA Rugby has partnered with AEG Rugby in the delivery of the event, along with the newly launched Major League Rugby club, RFCLA, who will play a curtain-raiser regular season match against 2023 MLR Champion New England Free Jacks. As the only home event currently scheduled for the USA Women’s Eagles, all three parties are focused on producing a first-rate weekend for the players and rugby fans. With lead up events, fanfare and opportunities for the rugby community to interact with the players, the Pacific Four Series is shaping up to be an all-in experience.

AEG Rugby Executive Director, Dan Lyle added, “As an Eagle Alum, I know that playing in front of your home crowd brings much more pride in wearing the jersey. As a fan, I can’t wait to see this match in LA as the Eagles launch their 2024 season at Dignity Health Sports Park. Watching many of these players perform weekly in the WPL and PWR has been fantastic, but seeing them at home will be a treat for them and their families as well as inspirational to so many young girls.”

USA vs Canada is only the beginning for the Women’s Eagles, as the squad will jet off to Australia post-match for the next round of the Pacific Four Series against the Wallaroos on May 17th in Melbourne. The stakes are high with the standings at the end of the tournament determining the next team to qualify for Rugby World Cup 2025, which is taking place in England. With Canada and New Zealand already qualified as RWC2021 semifinalists, Australia and the USA will be giving all they’ve got to ensure they are the next best ranked team to secure their spot.

Pre-sale tickets to the USA Rugby Membership and select groups will be delivered on Tuesday, February 27th at 2pm PT while tickets will open to the general public on Thursday, February 29th at 10am PT. Tickets will be available at usa.rugby/tickets.
