The USA Women’s U23s program has landed in São Paulo and are gearing up for their first of two matches in the 2023 Women’s Americas Rugby Trophy. Head Coach Katie Dowty announced the Match Day 23 squad today who will be facing off with Brazil on Saturday.
Keia Mae Sagapolu captains the squad of 23 for Saturday. Sagapolu joins the U23s squad after earning her first USA Women’s Eagles cap at the 2023 Pacific Four Series in Madrid. USA U23s v Brazil kicks off on June 3 at Nicolau Alayon Stadium. They’ll then go on to play Colombia on June 7 at Nogueirão Stadium. All matches will be livestreamed on Brasil Rugby YouTube.
Head Coach Katie Dowty on their match tomorrow: “We are so excited for these incredibly talented young players to show what they can do on the international stage. Their vision, dynamic attack, and physicality is so fun to watch. I believe we’ll be seeing many of them in an Eagles jersey for years to come and we’re getting a glimpse into that future.”
