Adam lives in Long Beach, California, and attended Millikan Senior High School, graduating in 2015. Introduced to the sport by family in Nw Zealand, he played rugby in high school with the Eagle Impact Rugby Academy SoCal team, and was a USA High School All-American 2014 and 2015.

Adam played with the SoCal Griffins in 2015 and played club rugby XVs and 7s with Belmont Shore. He played for the team’s 7s team at Nationals right after high school in 2015, in the California Cup in 2016, and in the Pacific Rugby Premiership, winning the 2018 championship.

Adam also played for USA Rugby South, winning the Rugby Americas North Championship in 2017 over Guyana. Channel would eventually make the USA Senior National Sevens team, debuting on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in 2021.

In 2024, Channel was invited to the Paris Olympic Games as a traveling reserve for the USA Men's Sevens.
