Catie Benson
Originally from Buffalo, NY as a star in cross country, Benson found rugby through her dad who played rugby and would take her to games. She would start her own career while at Penn State University where she helped lead her team to five National Championships across fifteens and sevens. She quickly showcased her talent for the sport and was named to the 2012 USA Rugby U20s and Collegiate All-Americans in 2014 and 2015.
While in college under Head Coach Pete Steinberg, also the USA Women's Eagles Head Coach, Benson made her national team debut against England in 2015 and is one of the most capped Women's Eagles. She would also represent the USA at the 2017 and 2021 Rugby World Cup.
Going on to win three D1 Club National Championships with Life West, the graduate student would also earn her Doctorate of Chiropractic Science.
