Wenglewski picked up rugby quickly, earning High School and Collegiate All-American honors and competing on several age-grade tours including the 2016 U20 Junior World Rugby Trophy and Collegiate All-American tour to Queensland. From there, he also represented USA with the developmental Men's Selects (15s) in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Americas Pacific Challenge.
In November of 2018, Wenglewski was selected to start alongside the senior Men's National Team against the Maori All Blacks during The Rugby Weekend in Chicago. He was officially capped a few weeks later in the Eagles test match with then No. 2 Ireland in Dublin.
