Atumata Hingano

Born in Hawaii and raised in San Ramon, "Mata's" older sister played for a local woman’s club, inspiring her to find a team and play, first with the Pleasanton Caveliers at the age of 13. She would continue playing rugby through High School with Danville Oakes, a rugby program known for producing national team athletes, before setting off to Utah Valley University in Orem, UT.

Hingano received invites to a collection of USA Rugby Junior National Team camps and competitions, on both the sevens and XVs pitch, before ultimately joining USA Sevens Residency and debuting on the World Rugby Sevens Series in 2017 during the Langford Sevens tournament.
