Charlotte “Lotte” Clapp

Clapp first started playing rugby when she was 11-years-old at Sir Frederic Osborn School in Welwyn Garden City, her hometown, having attended Watchlytes Primary. The Saracens captain studied Physical and Sport Education at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. She was with Welwyn Rugby before joining Saracens and making her debut against Lichfield in October 2014.

First capped with England in both 7s and 15s, Clapp joined the USA camp in 2022 shortly after World Rugby approved the union birthright transfer, where she was eligible through her American born mother. In June of 2022, Clapp made her USA debut in a won over Australia during the Pacific Four Series in New Zealand.
