Cheta Emba
A multi-sport athlete, Cheta Emba played soccer and basketball throughout high school before focusing on Divison I soccer in College at Harvard, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. There, she earned All-Academic and All-Conference honors, picking up rugby as a new way to cross-train for her role as a goalkeeper. As expected, Emba excelled in rugby and continued to play at the varsity level along with soccer.
During her senior year of college, she attended her first camp at the Olympic Training Site and earned her first cap with the Women's National Team XVs at the 2015 Super Series.
In 2016, Emba made her debut with the Women's Eagles Sevens in Dubai, where she scored her first try in spectacular fashion to seal a win against Russia.
Emba has been named to a collection of major event rosters, helping the Women's National Team XVs earn a fourth-place finish at Rugby World Cup 2017, suiting up for Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018 one year later, and ultimately competing at the Tokyo Olympic games in 2021.
