Cory Daniel

Born and raised in Maryland, Cory Daniel attended River Hill High School where he was a two-sport athlete, competing in both wrestling and football. While playing tight end for his high school football team he achieved All Country Tight End recognitions twice, as well as All State Tight End. Daniel excelled at wrestling and went on to continue his collegiate wrestling career at UNC - Chapel Hill in 2015, during which he achieved several state-level and national titles.

Daniel first found rugby through his college wrestling coach who connected him with then High Performance Director, Dan Payne. From there he was invited to the North American Rugby combine, and was eventually chosen for the USA Falcons tour to Uruguay in 2021. Cory Daniel played his first international test match for the USA against Kenya in 2022.
