A football standout at Saginaw Valley State University, David Still found his way to the USA Eagles via the RugbyTown National Training Center XO (Crossover) Academy and later competing in Major League Rugby with the Austin Gilgronis. The USA Men's Sevens took notice of Still's speed and size after he joined the USA Rugby Men's Sevens U23s at RugbyTown 7s in 2021.
Debuting in a USA Eagles shirt during the 2021 HSBC Vancouver Sevens stop, David's meteoric rise saw him take a leading role at the Rugby World Cup Sevens a year later in Cape Town.
