Ethan McVeigh started playing rugby in his hometown of San Diego, CA. His father, from Australia, got him started with the OMBAC Wallabies, Little Q in 2009. He would continue on through grade school with the Saint Augustine High School squad where Salty Thompson and the USA Rugby Pathways identified Ethan for the U18s in 2016.
For college, McVeigh ventured over seas to Cardiff Metropolitan University, playing rugby and graduating with a degree in Sports Management in 2022. Keeping on the USA Rugby radar, Ethan join the USA Falcons tour in South America where his rise to the USA National Team started, eventually making his Eagles debut in July 2024 against Scotland.
