Hope Cooper
Hope Cooper grew up in Copperopolis, CA before finding rugby at the University of California - Berkeley. Competing in Basketball, Swimming and Volleyball throughout High School, rugby really became the focus for Cooper in college after her roommate encouraged her to tryout. A true Northern California rugby standout, Copper climbed the high performance ladder with Cal, the Berkeley All Blues before earning her first selection to the USA Rugby Women's Pathways in 2019 with the Women's Collegiate All Americans and again in 2022 for the USA U23 tour of Canada.
Cooper's first USA Women's Eagles invite came in 2025 for the January Talent ID camp, where head Coach Sione Fukofuka and staff began to shape the Women's Rugby World Cup squad. Hope would earn a roster spot as one of 32 players selected for the pinnacle tournament in England, all before earning her first official test match cap.
