Jake Turnbull

Jake Turnbull was born in Sydney, AUS where he first started playing rugby after his stepdad took him to Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club for a first taste of the sport when he was just seven years old. Attending Waverley College during his High School years, Turnbull lived in the United States briefly in Miami where his mother is originally from.

Returning to the USA and joining the Denver Stampede, Turnbull was there identified by USA Rugby and Major League Rugby before joining the Houston SaberCats for the inaugural MLR season in 2017.

Jake first represented the USA with the Falcons in 2016 and again many years later in 2022 which would be the beginning of his rise to the senior national team level. Earning an invite to the Men's Eagles camp in 2023, Turnbull was also named to the August tour of Europe where he would make his debut against Romania in Bucharest.
