Kapeli Pifeleti was born to a family of rugby players and picked up the sport at a young age. Once signed by the San Diego Legion of Major League Rugby, Pifeleti was selected to join the developmental USA Selects (15s) for the Americas Pacific Challenge 2018 where he impressed Eagle coaches.
From there, he was selected to join the senior Men's National Team for the Americas Rugby Championship 2019 where he earned his first cap against Brazil.
