Kaylen Thomas was the 2022 Wrestling State and Region Champion with Ravenwood High School, 2022 State Champion in flag football, and is an All-State bronze medalist in track and field. Her high school track coach encouraged her to try rugby her junior year of high school, and she played her first game in the fall of 2020.
Thomas was identified by USA Rugby during talent ID camps and youth tournaments, and she was invited to the U18 winter camp in 2021 to later play with the U18s 15s program in 2021 and 2022, and U20s in 2023. Thomas also played with the U23s sevens program in 2022 and 2023. With the Falcons, she played in the 2023 NextGen 7s tournament and in Dubai in 2023.
Thomas made her USA Sevens debut in Hong Kong in April 2024.
