Lucas Pattinson

Born in San Juan Capistrano, CA, Lucas Pattinson followed in his fathers path getting involved in rugby young, first playing with his local club, the San Clemente Gators. He later went on to the United States Military Academy where he graduated in 2024 with a BS in Civil Engineering while playing rugby with Army West Point where he took Collegiate All American Honors 3 years in a row and was a member of the squad that achieved a D1A National Championship in 2022.  Pattinson first appeared on the USA Pathways radar after gaining an invite to the Under 18s Winter XV Camp where he earned selection to represent the USA in 2019 on the U18 level and moving up the ranks in subsequent years in 2021 and 2022 on the XV pitch, before earning his first selection for Sevens in 2024 with the U23 Junior National Team.  A 2nd Lieutenant and part of the Army's World Class Athlete Program, Pattinson now back in California as part of the USA Rugby Eagles Sevens residency program.
