Maceo Brown started playing rugby at the age of 16 while also pursuing American football and basketball. Brown played Division 2 College Football for two years at Grand Canyon University before his success and experiences in the sport of rugby grew a foothold.

In 2017 he earned Collegiate All-American honors (7s) and helped his All-American side win a bowl victory at the RugbyTown Sevens 2017 tournament. A year later, he was training in the senior Men’s Sevens residency program and made two appearances on developmental Falcons rosters: the first at RugbyTown7s 2018; the next at AF International Sevens in Manchester.

Towards the end of 2018, Brown made his senior national team debut at the Dubai Sevens 2018 where he helped the Men’s Eagles Sevens win a silver medal in the opening round of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2019.
