Joanna "Nana" Fa'avesi
Joanne "Nana" Fa'avesi is the youngest of seven children born to a family of rugby players. She played basketball growing up and focused on rugby at Luther Burbank High School, where the 2010 team won a championship.
Fa'avesi moved on to play with the Sacramento Amazons for four years. She was identified by Women's Sevens coaches at the 2014 Stampede Sevens. From there, she was invited to a development camp and made her debut at Dubai Sevens 2014.
After helping the U.S. qualify for the 2016 Olympics, Fa'avesi won a Silver Medal with the Women's Sevens at the Toronto PanAm Games. In 2016, she was selected to Team USA's 12 player roster for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Four years later, she would also be names a traveling reserve for the 2020 games in Tokyo.
