Nate Sylvia grew up in San Diego, California and first discovered his love for rugby at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he was voted team MVP and received Collegiate All-American honors in 2017. Sylvia would later graduate with a bachelors in Computer Science, before continuing on his rugby journey.
Following his college career, Sylvia was picked up by his hometown club San Diego Legion, where he was named Most Valuable Forward and eventually scouted for the USA National Team. Earning himself an invite to the 2022 Rugby World Cup qualifiers, Sylvia would debut against Kenya in November of that year.
