A native of County Kildare, Ireland Paddy Ryan came up with Newbridge College and was a Leinster Underage back-rower, while also later training with Ulster’s sub-academy.
Ryan started his high performance career with the Northampton Saints, winning a premiership with their reserves (Wanderers) in the 2017/18 season. While playing with Coventry in 2023, Paddy was invited on the USA Men's Eagle Summer Tour of Europe and earned his first cap that year versus Romania in Bucharest, scoring a debut try in a 14-point win.
