Hamdan was a varsity starter for basketball and Co-MVP and 2nd All-Conference in softball before picking up rugby at 15 years old in high school, where her brothers played.
Hamdan attended a USA U20s camp in 2018 and competed internationally for the USA U20s in 2019 before earning her first cap with the senior national team in November of 2021 at the Pacific Four Series in Glendale, CO when the USA took on Canada in a two match series.
