Joining the USA Women's Sevens Residency only a year after her High School graduation, Tausinga grew up playing rugby with the club at Elk Grove High School in Sacramento, CA. First introduced by her dad and uncles, Lote first played organized rugby at age 10, then playing with the Sac Pal Amazons.
Quickly climbing through the USA Rugby U18 pathway, Tausinga was named to the Team USA roster for the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018. Three years later, Lote would make her USA Women's Sevens debut on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in December 2021 at the Dubai Sevens.
