Sam Golla
Sam Golla was born in Texas, but raised in Denver, CO playing rugby at Denver East High School where he has been included in the school's athletic Hall of Fame. Golla was 14 when he first played with 303 Rugby Sevens, getting hooked on the sport and eventually playing for the varsity program at University of California - Berkeley where he would also serve as Captain in 2021 and 2022. Earning three years of Collegiate All American Honors, Sam became a top prospect in college that would lead to him being selected first over all in the 2022 Major League Rugby Draft to the Dallas Jackals, and so on to the MLR Rookie of the Year.
Golla's first venture in a USA shirt was with the U20s against Canada for the World Rugby Trophy qualifiers in 2019, which would lead to his first camp with the senior National Team in 2023 for the Men's Eagles August Tour in Europe. Starting at Lock, Golla won his first test cap against Romania in Bucharest.
