Sophia Haley

Sophia Haley played her first rugby game in 2012 in her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota after being inspired by her older brother who also played rugby. Haley played for the same highschool club as USA Eagles, Kathryn Johnson and Katana Howeard, before she was discovered by USA Rugby at the age of 16. In 2019, Haley co-captained the U20’s tour in England, also competing against Canada.

Haley would go on to attend Dartmouth College where she played rugby while achieving a bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences in 2022. While playing at Dartmouth, Haley achieved Defensive Player of the Year and All NIRA selections during all four years. She made her debut against Spain in Madrid in March 2023.
