The USA Men’s Eagles have confirmed 31 names to the traveling player pool to kick off this month’s Pacific Nations Cup, the programs first venture into the newly reformed global competition.

Head Coach Scott Lawrence and staff will group with the team ahead of competition for a 10-day camp in Chula Vista, CA at the Elite Athlete Training Center, before commuting up the coast to Los Angeles for the first-round match against Canada at Dignity Health Sports Park at 9PM ET. Tickets for the USA vs Canada match are now open, with group discounts available for clubs and teams. The entirety of the Pacific Nations Cup will be streaming live on Peacock.

Six uncapped players will join the convoy to Los Angeles and later Japan for the Pacific Nations Cup final rounds, targeting a chance to earn the USA Eagle title. World Rugby recently announced that the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup will serve as the qualification bracket for Rugby World Cup 2027, where this year’s inaugural tournament will be a positive marker for the USA's extended players pool ahead of next year’s qualification.

Head Coach Scott Lawrence said on the upcoming tour, “The five-week Pacific Nations Cup campaign provides an opportunity to expose this Eagles squad to the massive change in preparation and intensity required to play test match rugby. With new faces comes new energy. We’re expecting this group to fire into camp with a competitive mindset toward winning valuable test match minutes, and for some extend that opportunity into the November tour.”

Rand Santos and Dominic Besag earned tour invites following spring and summer tours with the USA Men’s U20s, reaching the World Rugby Trophy final against host Scotland, furthering the initiative to develop the younger player bracket who are expected to represent the United States on home soil for Rugby World Cup 2031. Toby Fricker and Pono Davis jump from the July reserved list to the traveling roster after standout seasons in MLR. Sean McNulty, Cyrille Cama, and William Waguespack all join the squad for the first time with eyes on earning their international debut.
