Head Coach Scott Lawrence said on the staffing changes, “The Autumn series is a first step into building a cohesive staff we’ll name in 2026 to take us through to the 2027 Rugby World Cup. Over the last two years, Alama has been a well regarded member of the staff who poured his heart and soul into USA Rugby and the Eagles. We thank Alama for all his efforts and wish him the very best as he takes on his next coaching challenge in 2026.”

Looking ahead to his next chapter, Ieremia commented on his time with USA Rugby, “Three years ago I joined the USA Eagles with the challenge to qualify for the 2027 Rugby World Cup. The team qualifying during the PNC this year was and will remain, a highlight of my coaching career. The opportunity to create and build the Anthem Rugby Carolina team, is another proud achievement. Developing young promising players, combined with experienced test players, had both its challenges and successes. It enabled me to develop personally as a coach and to contribute to the team's progress. I thank USA Rugby for the opportunity to share my experience and coach in the USA.

USA Rugby General Manager of High Performance, Tamara Sheppard added, “We’re incredibly grateful to Alama for joining the team and taking the reins of Anthem Rugby Carolina franchise from its inception. His leadership and commitment to developing players for the Eagles pathway have been instrumental in building the foundation of the program. Alama’s dedication to the group and belief in the broader vision for American rugby have left a lasting impact, and we wish him continued success in his next chapter.”

To the management and players of the USA Eagles team, I will continue to support and follow your future successes - we have created great foundations and strategies for future development. To the Anthem Rugby Carolina staff, players and fans, it’s been a blast! Our dedication will yield results. Thank you for the friendships, the new relationships and most importantly, for creating life lasting rugby memories. I look forward to the challenges and triumphs to come in my next venture. I wish USA Rugby all the best for an exciting future. Faafetai tele and thank you.”
