The USA Women’s Eagles today announced an additional test match against Scotland in Edinburgh on August 27, 2022 at DAM Health Stadium, kickoff 11AM EDT.

With both squads on their way to Rugby World Cup 2021 (playing in 2022), the match will provide a crucial competitive clash for two teams looking to advance through brackets this fall. The USA will then depart Scotland for a final match against England, before ultimately heading off to New Zealand. Streaming details have yet to be confirmed for the Scotland or England games, but will be communicated when known.

Scotland’s last encounter with the USA was during the 2006 Rugby World Cup in Edmonton, Canada, with the Eagles winning in the 5th place playoff. Scotland most recently played this past May for the TikTok Women’s Six Nations, with the USA just returning home from the Pacific Four Series, so each side can look forward to a quality test match tune-up having been in more regular first tier competitions this year.

Combined with a multi-week preseason assembly this summer, the UK tour to Scotland and England will complete the preparation slate for the USA Women’s Eagles in lead up to New Zealand.
