LOUGHBOROUGH, UK. - The USA Women’s Under-20s have named their match-day 23 for one final contest of Tri Nations Cup 2019 against Canada July 24, KO 12 PM ET, at Loughborough University. While a LIVE stream won’t be available, score updates will be provided on twitter.com/usarugby.
Head Coach Ricardo Ramirez has made four changes to the starting XV, with Kapoina Bailey in at No. 8, Mary Jane Pasioles in at scrumhalf, Karissa Postula in at center and Clara Lemal-Brown suiting up at wing.
“After our last match against England, the team had numerous positive takeaways,” said Ramirez, describing the learning experience that came with facing a polished English squad. “When a team falls and can find the growth lesson, it is impressive. Players returned to training with the proper head and spirit. Heading into the match with Canada, we are looking at a few changes to create a different look.”
The Under-20s fell to England U20s in the opening match of their Tri Nations Campaign last Saturday. Wednesday’s game will serve as the USA’s finale in the three-team tournament after which England and Canada will play each other on July 28.

ABOUT THE USA U20S
Under-20s or U20s (formerly known as Junior All-Americans) are athletes ages 19-20 years old who participate in a club or collegiate level rugby program. Unlike the High School and Collegiate All-American programs, there is no requirement for U20s to be attached to a scholastic program; athletes can compete with a senior club, professional team or university program. The U20s participate in formal international competitions such as the U20 Women’s Tri-Nations Cup and U20 Men’s World Rugby Trophy. The U20 program is primarily 15s, but expected to expand in to 7s as World Rugby offers additional opportunity for competition.
