In November 2011 USA Rugby announced that eight full-time training contracts would be offered to USA Women's sevens athletes.  Of the 24 women attending camp, seven are full-time residents at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The remaining 17 are the taxi squad and have received invites to attend the camp.

This team camp will be the first since the Women's Eagle Sevens Team took fourth place at the IRB Women's Sevens Challenge Cup in Dubai in December 2011. The large group of players attending the camp this week will make for tough competition in receiving an invite to play for the USA side in@Link("[#This.#NamePath]::~~Link~~((675578474))', "Internal', "URI', ' Las Vegas', ' lo_id='675578474||679205746″ lo_value='[Application]\\Structure\\Content\\Links\\Content\\23181D59-134E-7582-B094-AA0E2854B319\\23181D59-134E-7589-7ED0-4D6B95E6C187″ lo_namepath='[#This.#NamePath]::~~Link~~((675578474))' lo_type='Internal' lo_datatype='URI'').
