Following the recent Kick-Off camp in Chula Vista, California,  USA Rugby Women’s Eagles Head Coach Jack Hanratty has assembled top eligible overseas players for a three-day European alignment camp in the United Kingdom.

The assembly brings together potential USA talent currently playing professionally in the UK’s Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) and other top-flight European leagues in France and Ireland.

This camp marks the first opportunity for the overseas-based players to integrate with the new coaching staff and establish team connection as the program begins its cycle toward the 2029 Rugby World Cup as well as the upcoming Pacific Four Series which will be hosted across the United States this April.

A large contingent of the senior national pool currently playing out professional contracts in Europe, this UK-based camp eliminates the need for mid-season international travel while ensuring the high-performance standards established in California are mirrored across the squad.

Hanratty commented;

“The Chula Vista camp was a great opportunity for us to gather the best domestic-based athletes and put them into many game based scenarios with the majority out of XVs competition at this time. But for our UK based players, this is a very different stage of their year, all being in the middle of their intense season. We will be coming in 'to check in' with the athletes and introduce or redefine principals across all rugby aspects.”

“We have athletes all over the world putting their hand up for selection for PAC4 and beyond and having these two camps has allowed us to endeavor to meet the athletes where they are in their own rugby seasons.”

The Women’s Eagles will return to their respective clubs following camp conclusion to play out the rest of the their competitive seasons before returning to the USA in late March to narrow in on selection for the 2026 Pacific Four Series.
