The USA Women’s Eagles have locked in their squad for the upcoming WXV Global Series campaign.
The Eagles will head across the Atlantic to kick off the first leg of their tour Sunday, September 20th in Dublin, Ireland. They will then travel to Wales before returning stateside for three domestic home games in October to complete the five match circuit.
Tickets to see the USA Women’s Eagles take on Italy in Mansfield, TX and Nashville, TN as well as a Rugby World Cup rematch against England’s Red Roses in New Jersey’s Sports Illustrated Stadium are on sale now here.
With a reinvigorated and aligned USA Women’s Eagles programs, Women’s 15’s Head Coach Jack Hanratty and USA Women’s Sevens Head Coach Emilie Bydwell have come together to create synergies and amplify player development across the entire USA Rugby Women’s player pool.
Fresh energy and competition driving standards with player crossover, both set ups will see an injection of talent across both codes.
Women’s 15’s Head Coach, Jack Hanratty commented;
“We are now 9 months into the new cycle, and over the last 9 months we have been able to assess and work with athletes in all USA Camps, building competition with the U20s and Falcons and of course the day to day with the Sevens program.”
Bringing the pace and athleticism from the sevens pitch, the WXV squad has teamed up with to cross over talent across both codes in developing a collaborative USA Women’s Rugby identity. Sevens athletes including Olympian, Kayla Canett and recent breakout talent, Tahna Wilfley have been brought into the 15’s set up while, Ashley Cowdrey, Hann Humphreys, Karina Gauto and Tessa Hann previously showed how the injection of sevens pace onto the 15’s pitch adds a new dynamic as the team transforms and builds their new USA style of play.
Similar to Cass Bargell and Erica Coulibaly who joined following the 2025 Rugby World Cup, the USA Women’s sevens set up has recently welcomed 15s player, Erica Jarrell- Searcy who will return to the 15’s game for the WXV Global Series to Co-Captain alongside Georgie Perris- Redding.
After making a statement on the recent Falcons Tour to Brazil, dynamic prospects Nina Mason, Lauryn Carlton, Malia Isaacs, and Kennedy Feasby have earned their USA Eagles call up.
Hanratty continued;
“It’s great to have the energy of collaboration with the Sevens program and building off the great integration from PAC4 and the South Africa Tour, with both Tahna and Kayla being welcomed additions”.
“The Global XV is exactly what we want to challenge ourselves against top teams and although we have been excited for athletes to express themselves on the field, we now want to hold ourselves to world class standards both on and off the field.”.
The USA Women’s Eagles begin the 5-match Global Series with a 2 week training camp in Dublin before traveling to Wales. They will then return home and reconvene in October for a final camp in preparation to take on Italy in Texas, followed by headlining the doubleheaders with the USA Men v Australia XVs in Tennessee, and culminating in a marquee showdown against England in New Jersey.
